CK84805015 CNC heavy-duty horizontal lathe is a high-rigidity turning-milling compound machine tool developed for processing extra-long, heavy and large-diameter shaft workpieces. The machine adopts a 1615mm ultra-wide integral four-guide rail structure, matched with standard FANUC 0i-TF CNC system, integrating outer circle turning, inner hole deep boring, end face processing and thread cutting in one single unit. It is equipped with dual drag plate layout, multi-specification steady rests, high-torque spindle drive and special deep boring tool holder, perfectly solving the machining difficulties of slender long shafts, heavy rollers, hydraulic cylinders and large axial parts.

1. Ultra-Rigid Integral Machine Bed

The bed is cast with high-strength resin sand cast iron, with dense internal rib layout and optimized cavity structure, possessing excellent shock absorption and anti-deformation performance. Four rectangular medium-frequency quenched guide rails are arranged in an integrated layout, greatly improving anti-overturn capacity when bearing heavy workpieces up to 15 tons between centers. The sliding surface of saddle is coated with wear-resistant alloy material to reduce long-term friction loss. Chip removal channels are reserved on both sides of the bed for smooth chip evacuation. The whole bed is supported by multiple adjusting shims and fixed with anchor bolts, effectively locking machining accuracy under heavy cutting load.

2. High-Torque Spindle Drive System

The spindle box adopts forced circulation oil lubrication to continuously lubricate oversized spindle bearings, equipped with labyrinth + tooth groove double sealing structure at spindle front end to prevent oil leakage and metal scraps intrusion. The spindle is driven by original FANUC 37kW AC servo spindle motor via timing belt direct transmission, with two electric shift gears for stepless speed regulation within 1500r/min. The low-speed gear provides maximum spindle output torque over 3800Nm, which can bear heavy rough turning of large steel forgings without obvious vibration. The spindle front bearing inner diameter reaches 220mm, matching A2-15 spindle nose, 130mm spindle through hole and standard 800 solid hydraulic four-jaw chuck, realizing stable clamping of large-diameter heavy workpieces.

3. Dual Drag Plate & Multi-Functional Tool Post Configuration

The machine is equipped with two independent drag plates to realize synchronous and independent machining of front and rear processes:
  • Front drag plate: Fitted with AK273804 dovetail vertical four-station electric tool turret from Yantai Universal, standard tool shank specification 40mm40mm, supporting all kinds of external turning tools, grooving tools and thread tools. X1 axis travel 650mm, Z1 axis travel 3500mm, rapid feed speed up to 4m/min on X/Z axes, driven by FANUC series servo motors matched with precision reducer and Taiwan 5010 ball screw pair, stable and high-response transmissio
  • Rear drag plate: Installed with 120mm reference hole special boring tool holder, supporting two sets of anti-vibration boring bars, effective deep boring depth up to 1420mm, equipped with independent Y servo axis for offset boring processing. X2/Z2 axes share the same high-speed feed performance as front drag plate, and the rear drag plate can move flush with tailstock to extend the effective machining stroke of front drag plate, realizing one-time clamping processing of 5000mm ultra-long workpieces.

4. Multi-Type Steady Rest System for Slender Shaft Support

To avoid bending deformation during processing of slender long shafts, the machine supports multiple steady rest configurations for flexible selection:
  1. Manual C-type open steady rest: Clamping range 150500mm, manual three-jaw locking, suitable for low-volume trial production of large-diameter shafts;
  2. Manual closed ring steady rest: Clamping range 250500mm, higher overall rigidity, applicable to heavy eccentric roller workpieces;
  3. Standard hydraulic automatic steady rest: Equipped as standard, clamping range 125460mm, with automatic opening/closing and centering function, installed on independent electric moving base, self-locking with bed guide rail after positioning, stable support during high-speed continuous cutting.

5. High-Rigidity Split Tailstock with Axial Force Detection

The tailstock adopts upper and lower split structure, with independent fast moving motor and anti-backlash mechanism at lower body. The sleeve spindle of upper body is supported by double-row radial roller bearings consistent with spindle specification, with high support rigidity. Disc springs are arranged at the rear end to buffer thermal expansion of workpieces and protect spindle and tailstock sleeve from impact damage. Built-in hydraulic axial force measuring unit with front and rear pressure gauges, operators can read real-time jacking force to adjust appropriate tightness according to workpiece weight. The tailstock sleeve diameter is 300mm, travel 300mm, with 80# taper hole, optional matched tailstock four-jaw chuck for rough turning of blank outer circles. The moving guide surface of tailstock is inlaid with wear-resistant material to reduce abrasion on bed guide rails during long-distance movement.

6. Complete Auxiliary Processing Systems

Hydraulic Station System

Independent hydraulic station with maximum working pressure 6.3MPa and 80L oil tank, providing power for tool turret locking, hydraulic steady rest opening/closing and tailstock sleeve release, adopting well-known Taiwan hydraulic reversing valve components for stable oil circuit output.

Centralized Lubrication System

Intermittent centralized automatic lubrication for all ball screw pairs and four guide rails, adjustable lubrication cycle to avoid oil waste, effectively prolong service life of transmission pairs and keep long-term machining precision stability.

Cooling & High-Pressure Deep Boring Cooling System

Standard equipped QDYB4-30-185 cooling pump with flow rate 100L/min and head 18m, supplying cooling liquid for front turning tool post. An independent 30Bar high-pressure water pump unit is specially configured for rear drag plate deep boring bar, realizing high-pressure flushing of deep hole inner wall to improve surface finish and chip removal efficiency.

Automatic Chip Conveyor & Oil-Water Separator

Optional chain-plate automatic chip conveyor integrated with water tank, cooling liquid flows into the conveyor through bed chip removal holes, solid metal chips are separated and discharged, cooling liquid settles and circulates back to the water tank for recycling, reducing production cost and keeping workshop environment clean.

Full Safety Protection Enclosure

Full closed outer guard with safety interlock sliding door, internal stainless steel telescopic guide rail protection covers for X/Z axes to prevent coolant and chips splashing. Independent maintenance walkway is reserved on the side of the enclosure, convenient for tool setting, inspection and daily maintenance without disassembling the whole protective cover. The operation control station is fixed on drag plate, equipped with CNC color display panel, manual pulse handwheel, workpiece work light and three-color running status indicator light, intuitive operation and clear equipment status prompt.
